Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 Makeup Trends

Summer is almost over... at least technically. These are the hottest trends for the upcoming fall and winter 2015. This fall the focus is on the eyes.

1. Twiggy lashes

Ladies get your mascara wands ready for some major bottom lash action. You need these lower lashes to be extra spiky and intense!

2. Rainbow Eyes

Not my favorite trend but if you like being creative with your eyeshadows, then this trend is for you! Go bold and go super intense.

3. Smudge your eyeliner

This picture from Lanvin may be a bit dramatic but we get the main point. Smudge your eyeliner with a small dense eyeshadow brush (or the back of those eyeliners with that useless sponge).

4. Neon eyeliner

Experiment with bold neon shades even with your eyeliner. Keep your eyeshadow and the rest of the face minimal.

5. Fresh and glowy skin - Natural Look

Well that's a revelation! Youthfull and fresh skin is here to stay. And we love it!

6. Punk look

7. Thank god for lovely full brows

Honestly, I will cry if the skinny brow EVER comes back.

8. Lovely Cat Eyes

DIY: Hair mask with Avocado and Olive Oil

After months of absence, we are back! What better start than with a DIY, easy and cheap hair mask!

Since the sun does a number on the hair, this particular mask does wonders as it gives soft, shiny hair. Let me tell you, it works!
Here’s why:
  • Avocados are rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats which help to make your hair shiny.
  • The high-fat content of avocados makes hair less dry and prone to breakage.
  • Olive oil contains vitamin E and provides a nourishing base for the hair mask.
Oh yeah, did I mention this hair mask was under $5 and with the ingredients you already have at home?
Ideal for tresses after your next pool day!

1 ripe avocado
1 tablespoon olive oil

Have you ever tried avocado for your haircare routine ?
