Revlon Photoready Foundation: A review

Hello girls! I've been away for a long time, but now i'm back. I have a review for an extremely famous and hyped foundation by Revlon.
The famous Photoready.

The brand says :
"Revlon PhotoReady™ Makeup - for poreless, airbrushed skin in any light. Photochromatic pigments bend and reflect light to erase every flaw. Complete, yet undetectable coverage. Soft, luminous finish.

- Oil free
- Fragrance free
- SPF 20

 Works ?

This foundation is supposed to make you look luminous and glowing in pictures. It contains shimmer which reflects in pictures taken with flash. True ? Let's do the test.

I borrowed my mother's foundation so it's 2 shades darker than me but lets assume that it's the right shade. She absolutely loves it. Am i going to love it too ?

I applied it with a standard flat foundation brush and blended it with a damp sponge. (ignore the dark circles- i have only the foundation on)

The finish is lovely on the picture, the face looks radiant and not really oily or sweaty despite my oily/combination skin. The pores and facial lines are invisible. What a great foundation!!

So after testing how great is with flash photography, lets see closer... closer to the skin.

As you can clearly see, these magnificent reflective particles just make me look sooooooo gorgeous (yes i'm being sarcastic). The entire face is full of glitter making me look like a disco ball, literally.

My pores appear to be huge as well. For the record, my skin during summer is oily.  After seeing this result I opted for something dangerous (don't do it at home) - yes i used a powder on top. Ohhhh mother of... It was soo soo... ok i looked like a chocolate cupcake with caster sugar on top.

Not the most attractive thing.
But despite aaall that it has good coverage. Lets examine though an important factor. Your skin. My mother for example loves this foundation. Her skin lacks glow, it is dry and mature. This foundation makes her face radiant and healthy looking. Applied in fine layers doesn't cling to the pores or the wrinkles.

The consistency is liquidy to creamy.
This is the shade 005 Natural Beige

Recommended? I wouldn't really. I think there are many great foundation out there (for example Bourjois Healthy Mix) which offer luminous skin without glitter. Also, its price wasn't as cool, since 25 euros for that product isn't the best deal.

Have you tried this foundation ? Does it work for you?
