So back to the review...

Who's MUA?
"Make Up Academy is a continuously evolving cosmetics brand known for its affordability and high quality products, built up from Make Up Academy (products all £1) and with a recent extension to the range with Make Up Academy Professional (prices ranging from £1.50 to £4).

Make Up Academy launched in May 2010 with a huge range of over 100 lipsticks, eyeshadows, blushers, mascara and nail polishes and at a permanent price of only £1!! In May 2011 Make Up Academy bought out it’s professional range.

The range has been built with extensive shade choice and high quality giving a great range of products at an affordable price and it has fast become the highest volume selling cosmetics brand."
Quality & Pigmentation

Eyeshadows: The have two main lines of individual eyeshadows, the metallic and the matte ones. The shimmery shades (as shown below) are extremely pigmented without much fallout. The shimmer is really subtle in some of them and in other it's more obvious fine glitter, by no means chunky fake glitter! The matte ones are slightly more chalky than the shimmer ones and less pigmented. Though it's a great deal if you enjoy a light wash of colour (as far as light shades go). The matte black shade is super pigmented (with some fallout).

Lipsticks: The products i am most excited about are the lipsticks! As a fan of lip products i search for moisturizing formulas, mostly with a matte or satin finish. I dislike glitter or heavy shimmer in my lipstick. These glide on sooo beautifully soo smoothly! I was astonished when I first tried them! As you can see below in the lips swatches, even though my lips are ridiculously chapped and dry, these babies didn't fill these lines in my lips!

Glitter Eyeliner: I ordered a black glitter liquid eyeliner just to try it out, because i was looking for something glittery but subtle. I got the gunmetal shade, which comes with a dark grey/black liquid with greyish glitter inside. Unfortunately this one is out of stock right now. I was surprised because the shimmer was actually there! It didn't stay in the bottle but transferred on lashline beautyfully.

 Deal or Steal?

Probably steal... Almost all MUA products cost 1 pound! (:O) Yes 1 British Pound!
(1,20 Euro or 1,6 US dollars). The quality for the price is crazy! You get 2g of eyeshadow (a MAC one is 2.8g). I'd say that they are a speck of gold among all these "cheap" "drugstore" brands.
